About the club
With Lancaster City having a small population of only 135,000, Lancaster is home to one of, if not the top senior team in Great Britain. Water Polo is also the most successful sport in the Lancaster area.
The Lancaster seniors hold a handful of water polo records and have won the National title nine times in the past eleven years including a magnificent five consecutive years. They also have won the British Championship seven times in the past nine years also including five consecutive years.
On top of the impressive senior team Lancaster also has a highly successfully junior, youth & academy team. Lancaster city also provides Mini Water Polo for those children who want to have fun and learn about water polo.

Lancaster bring trophy back home!
As Bristol would say; The cods have become the GODS once again! Lancaster seniors have been crowned the top team in Great Britian once again as they win the National Water Polo League title 2008 at their home pool, Salt Ayre.
With two weekends of matches still to go, Lancaster have already clinched their tenth National League title in 13 years.

After watching some under 16's games it seem thats many players don't know the basic rules of water polo. So for one night only we are holding and hour seesion on basic rules! This is open to anyone but under 16's have tpo attend this session!

Water Polos' Sad loss
On New Years Eve, Preston Water Polo coach, Mark Molloy was involved in a car accident on the M6 just out side Lancaster. Mark was rushed to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, where he was announced dead. Mark who was not only the Preston senior men's coach but he had done allot of work in the past coaching the North Lancashire team.. > More

Daily Mail - Funding crisis sees London 2012 Polo hopes washed away
On 22 December, the Daily Mail highlighted the current funding crisis threatening the future of the National Performance Centre and regional centres – and, therefore, GB’s prospects of taking part in the 2012 Olympics – in a splendid article by the newspaper’s Olympics correspondent, Neil Wilson.
Many of you will be aware that GB recently entered the FINA World League and drew home and away matches early in 2009 against three of most powerful nations – Montenegro, Italy and Romania. The entry has now been cancelled on financial grounds.> More

Hat-trick for Scott and Lancaster's other achievement!
Scott Carpenter has again achieved the top goal scorer for the Division One National Water Polo League for the third consecutive year. Scott who this session has played 15 games out of 19 scored 78 goals. Alex Parsonage put his name on the top goal scorers this year finishing in second place. > More

In 2007 Lancaster's National Water Polo League title was taken away from them by Bristol, But Lancaster thought hard, gained a coach and snatched it right back in 2008! > More

Lancaster complete their programme with another victory
Champions Lancaster, without consistent goal scorers Scott Carpenter and Tom Curwen, still managed to complete their programme with an 11-9 victory over Manchester who, strangely, led 4-0 in the opening five minutes but then failed to score for another 15 minutes.> More
